I really liked the general container at Hang-Music.com so I thought I'd start one here with these classics:
Manu Delago - Mono Desire
Dante Bucci - Well Hang
Ravid Goldschmidt - Aya
Andi Steil - biddle de duddle de doo
Modou Gaye - Sinididi
afrercks - Hang Improvisation

Hi,

i think this was a very big day for this street hangplayer. The concerts from Jean Michael are very big shows on big stages. A lot of electronic sound meet the beauty of a small instrument with only 8 notes. Amazing. :)
It is nice to see that Jarre was touched by the sound from this Hangplayer so , that he bring him on the concert stage.

Thank you for posting.

Greetings
Frank

Jean Michel Jarre's production for the 200 years celebrations of french revolution with the Renegades Steel Orchestra and huge Moko-Jumbies designed by the famous carnival costume designer Peter Minshall. The concert at la Défense on the 14th of july 1990 had a live audience of more than 2 million people.

I've never seen a video of a decorated Hang, much less a decorated Integral:

Hi,

I dont listen carefully, but is this maybe a result of the painting?

This Hang has a vinyl applique on it. No paint, so it shouldn't inhibit the tuning.

Yeah! I agree. Great style. Very clean and interesting.

And I like his playing too!

Hahahahahahahaha.

Seriously, though, quite interesting. Fast hands but he seems able to keep a not-too-hard touch at the same time.

You can definitely hear how far the Hang has evolved here. To my ear his instrument sounds like it is in quite good shape, but so much more "steelpan" like... partly his style, but partly the actual character...

Pygmy for sure. :D
